GENERAL RULES
- The pool is only open when staffed by lifeguards. Refer to pool hours for schedule.
- Membership may be subject to verification by the pool manager or lifeguards on duty.
- All non-swimming children of any age are not allowed in the main pool without an adult accompanying them.
- Infant Pool: No child over age four is permitted in the infant pool at any time, including during Adult Swim. All children using the infant pool must be accompanied by an adult.
- Children under the age of 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. A signed PARENTAL CONSENT FORM must be on file with the lifeguards before a child can enter the pool unaccompanied. A new form must be filed annually.
- Unaccompanied members under the age of 18 are only allowed to bring one non-member guest.
- Unescorted children (10 and older) may be requested to pass a swimming test at the discretion of the pool manager or lifeguard.
- Lifeguards are not responsible for children on playground or outside of pool area.
- Adult Swim: Adult swim is scheduled for the last 15 minutes of each hour of the pool’s operation. Only non-swimming children, age three and under, who are accompanied by an adult, may be in the pool during adult swim. No other children are allowed in the pool during adult swim.
- All children under the age of 18 will be required to rest out of the water for the last 15 minutes of every hour as required by the lifeguard. Break times will be strictly enforced!
- Food/Beverages: Food is permitted on the pool deck but never in the pool. Parents are responsible for cleaning up after their children (this may include hosing down an area, if necessary, to prevent the spread of ants and other insects). Glass containers of any type can NEVER be carried around the pool deck. Beverages from glass containers must be poured into a plastic or other suitable container.
- Lost and Found: Lost and found articles will be placed in a bin located near the rear restrooms. This bin will be purged every Friday and any articles still remaining will be discarded or given to charity.
DIAPER RULES
- No diapered children are permitted in either the main or baby pool.
- All babies must wear disposable swim diapers, in addition to plastic/rubber pants when using the main or baby pools.
HEALTH RULES
- All swimmers must take a shower prior to using the pool(s).
- Bridge and Creek: No jumping is permitted on the bridge. Due to erosion of the creek bed and sharp objects, children are not permitted to wade in the creek. Any child who wades in the creek or walks along the mud banks of the creek will not be permitted in the pool(s).
- Parents are asked to encourage children to use the toilet before taking a shower or using the pool. BE AWARE THAT ANY EXCREMENT (STOOLS, DIARRHEA, OR VOMITING) IN EITHER THE MAIN POOL OR BABY POOL WILL NECESSITATE CLOSING THE POOLS.
- Persons having a skin disease, inflamed eyes, cold, nasal or ear discharge or any communicable disease will be excluded from using the pool.
- Persons having open blisters, cuts or skin abrasions are hereby warned that these might become infected and are advised not to use the pool.
- Spitting, spouting of water or blowing the nose in the pool is strictly forbidden.
- No pets will be allowed in the pool area.
SAFETY RULES
- No running, pushing or “horseplay” will be permitted in or around the pool.
- Only one person will be allowed on the diving board, diving board ladder, or pool slide at a time.
- No swimming allowed in the diving/slide area unless the area is closed by the lifeguards.
- Divers will jump straight ahead from the diving board; jumping from the sides will not be permitted.
RULES OF CONDUCT
1) Swimming when no lifeguard is on duty is forbidden.
2) Smoking is prohibited on the club grounds.
3) Trash must be placed in containers provided.
4) Members and guests will drive carefully in and around the pool area at a maximum speed of 5 mph inside the parking area.
5) All inflatable equipment must be approved by the lifeguard before using. Large equipment, such as air mattresses and rafts, cannot be used if they crowd swimmers. All swimmers must be wearing generally accepted swimming attire
6) The enforcement of all rules and regulations are entrusted to the pool manager and the lifeguards. For serious or repeated rule of safety violations, the lifeguards will adhere to the following protocol:
i) Warn the individual once that their behavior must immediately stop.
ii) If the warning is not effective or the individual commits another offense, they will be required to “sit out” of the pool for 15 minutes.
iii) If the individual refuses to “sit out” or after “sitting out” the individual commits another offense, they will be required to immediately leave the premises for the remainder of the day regardless of whether they are accompanied by an adult. Lifeguard and/or gate guards will attempt to contact a parent or guardian of unaccompanied children (ages 10 thru 17) before dismissing them from the pool.
iv) If an individual is asked to leave the premises 3 times within a season, their pool use privileges will be revoked for the remainder of the season.
v) Incidents which result in “sitting out” or dismissal from the pool will be recorded in the Life Guards log book and reported to the Board of Directors.
GUEST POLICY
Members shall accompany their guests at all times when using Club facilities and are responsible for the payment of any Club property broken or damaged by the guest. Members are limited to thirty six (36) guest visits per year (pool & tennis). There are no guest fees, other than special events (casino night, ladies cocktail night, etc.).
ENFORCEMENT
The enforcement of all rules and regulations are entrusted to the pool manager and the lifeguards. In order to simplify communications, members are asked to refrain from contacting the pool management company with problems or questions about the pool’s operation, lifeguards, or related matters. Complaints or suggestions concerning the management of the pool may be directed to the Board of Directors via email.
